         Das magnetische Horn ist ein fokussierendes Element für Antiprotonen. Im Wesentlichen besteht es aus zwei speziell geformten Aluminumrohren, die Innen- und Außenleiter bilden. Um die benötigte Fokussierung zu erreichen, muss ein Strom von 400 kA durch diese Leiter fließen. Der Bereich in dem sich das magnetische Horn befindet, ist ein Bereich mit einem stark erhöhten Strahlungslevel. Aus diesem Grund muss es möglich sein, das magnetische Horn ferngesteuert mit einer „Coupling Clamp“ von der Stripline zu trennen, um es gegebenenfalls austauschen zu können. Bei der Stripline handelt es sich um eine spezielle Leiteranordnung, die das Horn mit dem benötigten Strom versorgt.
