        Auf der Liegenschaft an der Merkurstraße 11 in Hannover Marienwerder der Leibniz Universität Hannover sind für das Großforschungsgerät des Forschungszentrums Küste umfangreiche Erweiterungs- und Umbaumaßnahmen geplant.

        Bei dem Großforschungsgerät handelt es sich um den großen Wellenkanal (GWK).

        Der GWK wurde als Forschungseinrichtung 1983 errichtet und in Betrieb genommen. Er umfasst einen ca. 300 Meter langen in westöstlicher Richtung ausgerichteten Kanal.

        Vor dem westlichen Ende liegt das Betriebsgebäude mit der Wellenmaschine und den Büros.

        Für die Erweiterung des Wellenkanals ist die Liegenschaft in nördlicher Ausrichtung in Teilbereichen des Wellenkanals zu vergrößern.

        Beauftragt werden soll die Erweiterung und Umbau eines Großforschungsgerätes im Wasserbau Leistungsphasen 5-8 gem. HOAI §41 (stufenweise). Kostenschätzung für KG300 + KG 400: siehe II. 1.5. Geschätzter Gesamtwert.

        Vor dem Hintergrund einer erweiterten Forschungsprogrammatik im BMWi-Vorhaben marTech, muss die bisherige Großforschungseinrichtung um zusätzliche Komponenten ergänzt bzw. vorhandene Einrichtungen erweitert werden.

        Die Baumaßnahme setzt sich aus folgenden Teilmaßnahmen zusammen:

        Errichtung einer Strömungsanlage am vorhandenen Wellenkanal. Der Ein- und Auslauf der Strömungsanlage in den Wellenkanal erfolgt über separate Bauwerke.

        Für den Tiefteil wird die Sohle des Wellenkanals in der Mitte des vorhandenen Wellenkanals auf einer Länge von 24,00m in gestufter Ausführung abgesenkt.

        Die bisherige Wellenmaschine wird hinsichtlich ihrer Leistungs- und Einsatzfähigkeit erweitert. Erweiterungen der dazugehörigen technischen Funktionen.

        Zeitlicher Rahmen:

        Herrichtung des Baufeldes Ende 2018

        Partielle Abbrucharbeiten Mitte 2019

        Einbau der Wellenmaschine Mitte 2020

        Abschluss der Baumaßnahme Mitte 2021
